Ruet-Hilal Committee meets today for Eid-ul-Adha moon sighting


ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today (Friday) with Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman in the seat to sight the moon of Zul-Hijja. 

The meeting would be held in Karachi.

An authority said on Thursday that different individuals from the advisory group would go to Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees at their particular spots.

The meeting of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) advisory group would be held at Ministry of Religious Affairs, close General Post Office (GPO) Islamabad.

Public Holidays 

The government has rnnounced four public holidays on Eid-ul-Azha, as per a warning issued by Interior Ministry.

The warning for open occasions was issued here on Wednesday.

Govt representatives to appreciate nine Eid occasions

Government employees will appreciate nine occasions of Eidul Azha this year and for it they should withdraw for August 16 (Friday).

The legislature has declared four occasions on the event of Eidul Azha from August 12 to 15, however Saturday and Sunday which are week by week off days will begin from August 10 to 11.
