PM, army cheif express anguish at death toll in Turkey Earth Quake


PM Imran Khan on Saturday said he was "profoundly disheartened" by the loss of lives after a ground-breaking seismic tremor killed in any event 21 individuals and harmed more than 1,000 in eastern Turkey. 

The head administrator in a tweet said he lamented the loss of  “so many precious lives and of hundreds injured in Turkey’s earthquake”. 


He included that the nation's musings and petitions were with the individuals and legislature of Turkey. 
“Pakistan stands by them and is ready to lend any assistance in this hour of need,” said PM Imran. 

Independently, an official statement gave by Inter-Service Public Relations said Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa had communicated his sympathies over the loss of lives in the Quake. 
“A Pakistan Army contingent, including special rescue and relief team and field medical facilities, are ready as part of assistance offered by the government,” said the official statement.
