'Matrix 4' announced with Keanu Reeves to return as Neo


LOS ANGELES: Sci-fi franchise "The Matrix" will return for a fourth film with Keanu Reeves repeating his job as kung fu-kicking, conceals wearing saint Neo, studio Warner Bros said Tuesday. 

Lana Wachowski will rudder the undertaking, coming back to compose, direct and produce the most recent portion of the tremendously prevalent arrangement about people caught in a computer generated simulation by machines, which has gotten more than $1.6 billion around the world. 

"We could not be more excited to be re-entering ´The Matrix´ with Lana,"studio executive Toby Emmerich said in an announcement sent to AFP.  
"Lana is a true visionary -- a singular and original creative filmmaker," he included. 

Lana and her sister Lilly - who were in the past known as the Wachowski siblings, Andy and Larry, before exchanging sex - coordinated the first set of three. 

Warner Bros did not indicate if the new movie would be an immediate spin-off, saying just that it was "set in the world of ´The Matrix´," and did not give a discharge date. 

The first movies pursued a band of agitators who fought shrewd machines in a future where people are oppressed inside the Matrix - a computer generated experience that looks like the contemporary world. 

Reeves' Neo was a saint set for spare humankind. 

The dim dream included a blend of pseudo-eastern way of thinking and Western folklore, breathtaking battle scenes and rich enhancements. 

"Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now,"  said Lana Wachowski.  
"I´m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends."

Carrie-Anne Moss will likewise come back to her job as Trinity, the studio said Tuesday. 

The first film turns 20 this year, with uncommon screenings arranged in the US not long from now. 

The third film in the arrangement, "The Matrix Revolutions" (2003), was the main film to be released simultaneously around the world at the same hour.
