The Pakistan Armed Forces, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Services Chiefs have strongly condemned the criminal actions carried out on May 9 (Black Day).
Through a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Armed Forces have presented a clear stance regarding the incidents of May 9.
The Pakistan Armed Forces state that on this dark day in our national history, politically motivated and brainwashed extremists launched a rebellion and resorted to violence against state institutions intentionally. These extremist elements deliberately targeted the sacred symbols of the state and institutions with national heritage, aiming to incite a self-made and narrow-minded revolution in the country, which failed.
According to the statement, the Pakistan Armed Forces thwarted the nefarious designs of saboteurs and their masterminds by demonstrating extreme restraint, preventing the malicious conspiracy against their plans and facilities. The fundamental objective of these extremist elements was to create chaos by spreading discord between the public and the armed forces, destabilizing Pakistan.
The Pakistan Armed Forces stated that following the failure to undermine national unity and stability, the orchestrators, facilitators, and perpetrators of this conspiracy have initiated a reprehensible campaign of hatred against the armed forces and the state, attempting to vilify themselves by distorting facts and unfairly blaming state institutions.
The statement by the Pakistan Armed Forces asserts that due to these reasons, there can be no negotiations or leniency with the planners, facilitators, and perpetrators of the May 9 incidents, and they will be brought to justice to ensure that no one dares to disrespect our heroes' memories and our national symbols and unity in the future.
The statement further emphasizes that today, the Pakistan Armed Forces reaffirm their commitment to defending Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, thwarting the despicable intentions of Pakistan's internal and external enemies. Our martyrs and their families are the pride of Pakistan. The Pakistan Armed Forces pledge to uphold their dignity and honor at all costs.
